We tend to love Contigos. So when one was inadvertently left behind on a trip to the grandkids, my wife ordered another. They are indestructible and never leak. Many thumbs up.

I've owned several of the Contigo West travel mugs and they are the best. I've probably lost 4 of them, damage one, and destroyed one. I've also got the type with the snap lid on top, and I do not like it. If you forget to close it and carry it wrong, your coffee goes everywhere. The "West" version is spill proof. We jokingly call it the "coffee sippy cup."

The reviews say that the mug seals, but it misses that by a few mysterious dribbles of coffee. I've been spoiled in past with the Camelbak Forge, which is no longer made. The Forge would allow you to put a mug of coffee in your backpack, ride 15 miles to work on your bike, and not having to worry about a single drip of coffee getting out. Not one single drip. You would find nice hot coffee an hour and a half later. The Contigo mug misses the mark in my book. If you open up the trigger and don't have the drink mug tipped up so that the fluid covers the entire top of the lid, you take in air. The experience is like drinking from a straw that has a hole half way up. I guess this is good if you like your coffee/drinks aerated? This mug goes to the back of the cupboard and the search for something decent continues. FYI - the Camelbak Forge Flow is a different mug than the regular older Forge. The Forge Flow has the same flaws as the Contigo discussed here.

fantastic cup keeps liquids cold or hot for a long time and it doesn't sip everywhere if you or a pet knocks it over REALLY LOVE IT
