First of all, in my application this device works very well I am using it to convert 12Vdc to 42Vdc So I can charge my ryobi 40Vdc battery in my truck. The output current required is 1.5 amps. 42V X 1.5 Amps =63 wattsAs you can see I am not pushing it very hard.

I have nothing negative to say about this unit. Works GREAT as a battery charger. I use it to charge a 16V battery in my car.

Using to push automotive power into lipo4 system at 28v, appears to function correctly after careful tuning, at 8.2 amp output limited by load, heat sink hot, fan doesn't appear interested yet, but further voltage boost surely would require increased cooling.Needs simple standoffs included, and also reinforced terminal supports, to receive 5 stars.Imaged text documentation was found on alternate amazon page for this product of earlier date.

I used this to bump up the 42v 10s4p Li-ion scooter battery I have to 60v for a higher wattage controller for my ebike. No issues at all with heat. I don't think I have even heard the fan turn on yet. The only downside is I lost the ability to monitor battery voltage from the ebike built in display as it always reads 60v but that has nothing to do with this product. I am going to add a 2nd volt meter to the battery and problem solved. Even under full load, the voltage never drops below 59.8 and that is likely due to losses in the long wires from the converter to the controller.
