These headphones offer a lot for the price I paid. What you are paying for is a big pair of headphones with comfy earpads, a microphone, a long cable, a DAC (digital to analogue convertor) and software. They're quite comfortable. They have nice big earpads. I wear glasses and these headphones are comfortable. I believe that they are not meant to be used when walking around. The clamping force is quite weak but strong enough to keep them on my head when I'm using my PC.They do not fit smartphone USB ports. They connect to the usual USB ports on a computer or laptop but not the small USB ports on phones.I haven't tried the microphone but it is nice to have this addition feature. The Cooler Master Plus software can be downloaded online. This software connects to the headphones on Windows. It includes a graphic equaliser and software-based surround sound. I found that the software needs full access to the headphones. I have graphic equaliser and sound enhancement software but this needed to be turned off for the Cooler Master software to work.(Note that the software has more uses than just for these headphones, When I opened up the software it didn't show the screen for controlling these headphones. Look to the left of the window and there is a menu button to bring up the settings for these headphones. Click on this then at the top there are the menu buttons for the graphic equaliser and surround sound settings.)I left reviewing the sound quality till last. I'm am usually unhappy with sound quality. Take this into account. All the features and hardware of these headphones come at a cost. For the same price I think it is possible to get better sounding in ear monitors (in my personal experience) but they wont have a DAC or other features that this has. If your computer or laptop has bad sound quality from the headphones port then these headphones are worth considering because they have a built in DAC.I started by not using any sound enhancement software. These headphone sounded terrible. However the Cool Master Plus software and the gaming preset for the graphic equaliser made a massive difference. The sound was much better. It had a quality like planar magnetic headphones of detail in voices. The sound was still a bit muddy. It lacked dynamics and bass. Again, please remember that I am quite critical of sound quality, In general my reviews are critical so bear this in mind. From what I have read about the headphones that gamers choose it seems like a very important quality is stereo imaging. Stereo imaging is the spread of sound. It should be precise and this is especially important for combat games like first person shooter games. Good stereo imaging allows a gamer to hear where gunshots are coming from, where an explosion happens and other things. These headphones lack good stereo imaging and precision. I play strategy games so this isn't an issue.I briefly tried the surround sound software but it didn't seem to do anything. There's a two year warranty. (Cooler Master is a company that has been around for a while. I think when I built a PC a couple of decades ago I used a Cooler Master case.)
