I love this mug! It is very well made. The detail in the sculpting is delicate, and glaze is even and smooth. The detail in the cappuccino “foam art” in the tiny cup is adorable and very well done! Unlike some other ceramic products that claim to be hand crafted, but are obviously rushed through an assembly line, nothing about this mug seems to be haphazardly put together. It looks like it was very carefully and lovingly crafted by the artist themselves!The bottom is not stamped or labeled, so I tested warming some coffee in it for 30 seconds. It was fine. At one minute the mug was pretty hot to the touch, but didn’t require a pot holder. I’ve only hand washed it, as I’m afraid the little pinky finger might break off in the dishwasher! Lastly, this mug works best as a hand warmer on a cold day, since it doesn’t have a handle. I’ve held it by the arms and tiny cup, but that’s made me a bit nervous when filled with hot coffee. All in all, this little work of art is worth the price, and I would purchase it again!
