La diferencia entre elegir un botín o un calcetín de aleta
Un botín es ideal para personas que están buceando o esnórquel, con una aleta de talón abierta con correas ajustables. Se les aconseja comprar una bota larga para evitar rozaduras y otras molestias. Para buceo en tierra, quieres buscar una bota con una suela resistente para protegerte de caminar sobre rocas, arena caliente, etc.
Cómo elegir el calzado de buceo según la temperatura del agua
El calzado Cressi ofrece el equilibrio perfecto entre calidez y flexibilidad para buceadores, y diferentes deportes acuáticos en todas las condiciones climáticas y del agua.
Para temperaturas del agua de 16 °C a 24 °C o más (40 °F a 40 °F:): Elige un grosor de 1 a 3 mm.
Para temperaturas del agua de 10 °C o menos a 18 °C:): Elige un grosor de 5 a 7 mm.

We use these to keep our feet warm during our morning cold plunges. The ankle booties are more difficult to dry and these are much simpler. They do let a water in at the end when we stand up, which wouldn't happen with the ankle booties, but not a big deal.

I have a tendency to get blisters on my ankles when stuff rubs, and I was afraid that the fins would do that and ruin my upcoming vacation. So I bought these. I also hoped they would be useful for walking on hot sand and/or make slightly uncomfortable terrain more bearable. They excelled on both counts. I snorkeled plenty without them, but when I used them, they worked great, and my fins felt more secure. And when walking on rocky shoreline, which would've been mildly painful in bare feet, it was very tolerable with these. Very glad I got them.

I"m currently scuba diving with a drysuit in Ontario, Canada but it's leaking so as a result, it gets flooded. I will get it repaired by warranty at the end of my local dive season. I'm currently wearing a 3 mm wetsuit underneath for warmth but had nothing for my feet until I ordered these Cressi socks which did the job. I know that there have been previous reports that the soles were a bit thin for walking around but that is not an issue for me since the only time I'm going to use these neoprene socks is inside my drysuit. Once I get my drysuit repaired, I don't know if I'll keep wearing these Cressi socks or not yet. But at least they did a good job getting me through while my drysuit still leaks.

They fit great, and worked like a charm! My fins were rubbing my feet so I ordered these and they took all of the aggravation away out of wearing fins barefoot. The only downside is that they fill up with water and feel weird walking around the boat but that’s really not a big deal. The leather bottom is nice for wearing them in shallow water and walking around, keeps the occasional shell from stabbing you in the foot.

Got a pair of these booties to pad my feet a bit in my fins. Although 3mm was a little thicker than what I was originally looking for, they fit and felt great and really made my fins more comfortable as well! Be aware, they have no rubber sole (which was what I wanted), so don't try walking on rocks/other jagged surfaces!
