This Crooked Creek telescoping boat hook was largest diameter offered so it is the sturdiest. It came at one of the lowest prices available. Pretty much a no-brainer. The hook on the end is large and thick enough for a substantial grab. The large rubber ball ends grip and protect for pushing off. Very useful tool. folds short enough to stow easily any where that is convenient and extends far enough for a substantial reach. I'm happy with this boat hook and I would recommend it as a handy tool for boats or pick up trucks or anywhere a reach is required.

The best boat hook I have ever used. Super sturdy. Telescopes out and twist locks perfectly. Nice grey rubber grip on the end. Well made blue hook with grey rubber tips to prevent scratching. I gorilla glued my tips to prevent loosing them. I noticed someone wrote a review looking to replace a lost tip. The main tube is 1 1/4” in diameter. Well made and probably the last boat hook I will ever need ! Look no further and the price is perfect. Highly recommend this one. Don’t believe any bad reviews.

I use my Trac Outdoors Crooked Creek Telescoping Boat Hook to retrieve the robotic pool floor cleaner from my inground swimming pool. The hook has a perfect shape for securely grabbing one of the cleaner handles and the length is ideal for retrieval from the water 5 feet deep or shallower. Filled with water, the cleaner is heavy but the Trac Outdoors Hook manages the weight just fine. My only complaint is minor: I constantly must retighten the sectional locks, which tend to loosen during use.
