I'm really glad I got this mattress encasement. Like the description says, it's truly noiseless-- I don't even notice it's there-- and the terry cloth on top is very soft. As a word of warning: I'm not sure exactly what was the culprit, but I washed this with a new bath mat and there was so. much. lint. Again, I don't know if this was the encasement or the bath mat, but regardless, just be careful if and when you wash this for the first time after purchasing. Also, one of the seams ripped a bit while I was putting it on the mattress-- the bottom part of the encasement got a bit stuck under the mattress, and when I tugged on it I heard that telltale tearing sound. When I went to inspect the damage I could see where the seam ripped though not all the way, so there doesn't seem to be a hole in the encasement, at least nothing that I could stick my finger through, but regardless, I'm not that strong, so I'm surprised that I could rip the stitching. Still, for the price (

I actually put this on myself. I will say that if two people put it on, it would be pretty simple. If you want a workout, put it on by yourself. It's almost as good as going to the gym. It completely encases the mattress with a little extra room and there is no extra rustling or plastic sounds when you move around. I can't say how it is for water resistant or potty training since it's just my husband and myself but rarely my cat will have an accident. I will have to wait until then to find out. It is soft. Honestly, it feels like it isn't really even there. That's always a good thing.

Got this as a mattress cover to help protect my mattress during transportation and also as good water proof cover. I love that these dont have that plastic bag noise as you move around, I remember those from my childhood. These feel soft and would definitely recommend them
