Tolles Gerät, funktioniert tadellos. Installation einfach. Bis jetzt echt top. Reichweite toll. Bin sehr zufrieden.

We decided to get this because it takes 4G on SIM card. It's easy to setup and it works smoothly. It also has some security features you can tweak around. We are very happy with this product.

Good 4G router with helpful support, and straightforward to set up. I was using this indoors in a large exhibition hall, for backup wifi during a busy expo. I wasn't confident it would work in these far-from-ideal circumstances but I was able to get decent speeds.This worked with a Verizon data SIM (you need to activate the SIM in-store on a device first, or it won't work). I had to follow specific instructions on the Cudy website to manually change a number of default settings in order for it to work. Although I think this had more to do with Verizon being tricky than the router itself.

I researched quite a bit for a 2-slot modem router form the basis of a new internet/wifi system. I have been on Three, which has been on and off abysmal for around £23/month. Constant slow and unreliable connections on 5G. So, while this is 4G only, I am getting faster speeds and total connection reliability. The two slots mean I could have, say, Vodafone and EE with the router switching for the best connection as needed. I am getting similar performance now from Vodafone or EE, while for me, Three and O2 remain close to hopeless. YMMV as it'll depend on your local circumstances. The setup was OK, but not super easy. The SIM is pretty much plug-and-play and then activated with your provider. 50GB data per month is around £10 so I am quids in. I would recommend going this route if you are struggling with a 5G connection or, like me, only have slow telephone line alternatives - no cable/fibre here!

LTE routers are expensive, and usually come with outdated WiFi, crap firmware, locked to a vendor, etc.LTE drives up prices for modems due to the volume/cost to produce.This is a bit pricey compared to a normal router, but there are some really good features for a LTE router:1. FirmwareThe firmware is very well thought out, clean and FAST. You can tell that they know that certain carriers limit sharing, so they have workarounds. I think it's based on openwrt (url says luci).2. WiFi speedsMost come with 2.4ghz only, which is a shame in 2023. This is a newer device, and comes with 5ghz, and with AC1200, which I get on a M1 Macbook Air 2020.3. Dual SIMMost chinese-based phones have dual SIMs, so this is no difference. You can choose which SIM to use, configure each one, nice.My worries...The only thing I'm curious about is if they contain a backdoor. Google around how many random chinese brands now have backdoors in their routers.I'll see if I can obtain the firmware, but given the drivers might not be opensource this might be harder. Given that this is just something I'm using for a 4 day holiday (and future holidays now, too.. hopefully!), I'm not relying on the device in the long term and I use wireguard on my clients..
