Sorry this is such a long post, but I wanted you to see the challenges I faced before I bought these bowls.I purchased this bowl and the larger size because I have cats varying in sizes and weights from 15 lbs to 2 lbs. I also bought round silicone rubber mats to place under them. One of my cats has a VERY bad habit of tipping over every single water bowl I've ever tried. I had one that had a reservoir that I used for many years but because she could straddle it, she started peeing in it. I tried the jug water bowls but she swatted all the water out. I tried the dual feeding dishes. Nope, she scooted it all around the floor spilling the water out. Because she always did it while I was at work, the water sat on the floor all day, eventually seeping under my vinyl flooring 12x12 squares! So anyway, I saw these bowls and decided to give them a try. I liked the idea of a slanted stand and a heavy glass bowl. I read reviews about people not liking the color of the stand, but I give a hoot less about the color because I bought it for the PURPOSE. Well guess what...she knocked these bowls over, too - stand included! I was so mad. Tonight, I Gorilla Glued the stand to the silicone mat but that didn't work. She got her paw under the bowl and raised the small bowl to the point of spillage...AGAIN! So now I just Gorilla Glued the glass bowls to the stands, too. I'm just going to have to wipe them down real good to clean them. We'll see what happens. I'll post again if gluing the bowl works in case anyone has the same problem with their cat.

Good for the pup. Looks stylish and it's better for the pups back and neck. Love the sturdy glass bowl. It was more money than I wanted to part from, but worth it
