These crate bowls have worked out so well for me. I'm not clear as to why the instructions specify that the ring that holds the bowl should be above the attachment tab. I instinctively wanted to do the opposite but did as instructed - maybe it affects the tilt of the bowl - I don't know, but if anyone is having an issue, check to see if you have the orientation of your set-up correct. The bowls themselves are a good size, sit securely and are easy to clean. Previously I had been placing a water bowl on the floor of their crates and invariably there would be spills. These hanging dog bowls have been working wonderfully except one time when one of my dogs was laying with her head beneath the bowl, and when she sat up, she bumped her head on the bottom of the bowl and pushed it out of it's seating. I think an improvement to the design would be to include something that holds the bowl securely until you want to remove it for washing or refilling. I haven't taken stars of because it was one accident and I am very happy with this item.

Um. These are ok. I'm not sure if our dog is the problem or having a water bowl in the kennel. Or maybe its more suitable for older dogs and not spazy puppies. We had it in our kennel for a while. The puppy kept knocking over the bowls or hitting into them, getting water everywhere. We ended up just using them as regular water/dog food bowls. They do fine for that. Our dog seems to be very pawsy and continuously knocks the water bowl over.

These said large but they are bigger than i expected, not in a bad way! I like the stainless steel. It's nice that the bowl lifts away separately from the part that attaches to the crate. Makes it easy to grab and wash and fill. But if your pet is high energy or knocks it around in any way, it is pretty easy to knock out of place and spill, so kind of a double edged sword. I still think it's easier than the last kind I had, which had a notch on the bottom of the bowl that had to slide into an opening on the part that attached to the cage, then turn to secure. I always had trouble with it because I couldn't see the notch and opening plus the crate is on the floor.

We ordered these to put in our puppies dog crate. Our dog loves to push the bowls out their holders and kicks the bowls around in his crate. He flooded his crate immediately.... So these are not working for us. If you have a calmer dog, it might be a good set for your pet.The hardware is easy to mount although we were not able to tighten it enough to really stay in place. I like that the bowls have a rim that will "secure" them a bit on the mounting ring. The metal of the bowls is very thin though. Still it is a good product.

These bowls are a decent choice for crates, especially for large or medium dogs. While they are marketed as "heavy-duty" and "no spill," the stainless steel is on the thinner side, which doesn't quite meet expectations for heavy-duty durability. That said, they mount securely in a crate, making them practical and convenient for kennel use. Overall, they work well for their intended purpose, but don't expect premium sturdiness.
