It is surprisingly hard to find a small decent knife set. I don't want a wooden block with a bazillion knives I will never use.... This it perfect! And it looks really good sitting on a counter as is.

Wanted something different for a knife set that wasn't traditional wood handle/block.PROS: This set is fun and functional with colour (adds some fun to the kitchen) and for quick reference for your favorite knives, the knives are VERY sharp and easy to handle (not to heavy)! The ceramic coating is noticeable for helping glide the blade through whatever you're chopping, the knives are weighted a bit in the handle, so they're comfortable to hold; the plexiglass display is slim and doesn't take up space on the counter.CONS: the plastic handles and ceramic costing are questionable for durability; the plexiglass holder scratches easily. But if you are careful and quick wash/dry your knives it will be okay, definitely not a long-term investment. I've had Pampered Chef ceramic knives in the past and paid a big price tag for them, but even they chipped and wore after a year or two of use and sharpening, so this was a great alternative. I recommend them.UPDATE-Feb 204: coating on knives are already chipping and coating is scratched; cannot recommend these at all; these should not be deteriorating this quickly and quality is very poor.
