I tried these strings as an experiment on my main mandolin, an A style f-hole type. They have lasted extremely well and the tone sounds improved (to my ears) over the usual D'Addario J74 Phosphor Bronze strings I'd normally use. I'll certainly be using them again.

Great sound with these Monel strings on my Ratliff mandolin. These are a longer lasting string than the standard EJ74 string and more resistant to environmental conditions and hand gunk. Wipe ‘em down after picking and you will have a good set of strings that will last a lot longer than the normal set! Now if they were just a buck or two cheaper I’d be in love.
