Every Friday night is poker night at our house. The men are very tough on the cards. We used to by Bicycle cards by the case as they went through two new decks each Friday. We are 4 games in and they are using the same deck. Best buy ever.

I have loved and played with Modiano cards for years. These cards are re-branded as Da Vinci, but other than the name they appear to be exactly the same cards. Card players can be very particular and loyal to their preferred brand, and it really comes down to which combinations of features you prefer. I own and have played with KEM, Dal Negro, Copag, and Da Vinci/Modiano. Here are the reasons I prefer Da Vinci:Feel - These cards are flexible but stiffer than many, which gives them a more substantial feel and a satisfying snap on the shuffle. KEMs and Dal Negro are definitely thinner and more bendy (which some people prefer), but also seems to contribute to the decks warping over time.Durability - Any plastic cards will last multiple times what a paper deck will, and I've never had a plastic card actually chip, tear, or 'wear out' on me. Where I will start to see the wear is rubbing/fading artwork on the cards over time. I noticed that more with some of my KEM, Copag WSOP, and older (10+ years) Modiano decks, but these new Da Vinci decks seem to hold up better in that regard. I've played regularly with the pictured deck for ~5 years, and you can just start to see the slightest bit of rubbing. They also come in a sturdy plastic box that holds both decks securely.Artwork - This is where the Da Vinci decks shine best for me: classic styling and artwork for the court cards, a beautifully designed Ace of Spades, the best-looking jokers of any brand of card I've used, and the "Ruote" wheeled back design is striking. Modiano has a long and rich history as a playing card and tarot manufacturer; the Italians just get it right on all fronts here. Bellissimi! With 'regular index' Modiano cards I've experienced visibility issues with the thin font of the index numbers and letters (for regular index cards, that is where the Copags really shine, but the artwork overall looks bland to me), but moving up to the jumbo index solves all of those issues and makes the Da Vincis the clear winner.I enjoy regularly playing cribbage with my oldest child, and just last week scored a perfect hand (probability 1:216,580). Of all my choices I'm happy I was playing these cards mark the moment.
