After 1 fishing season, I'm definitely happy. This reel is light - it's a pleasure to fish with it compared to my ancient casting reel it replaced. The magnetic braking works like a charm. I had no problem reeling in a feisty 20 lb muskie with this. Also the main gear is metal, not plastic, so I'm confident it'll last. Running it on a Daiwa AIRD-X medium heavy / fast action rod. It's smooth as butter. I liked it so much I bought another one for pops.

Loved the reel for its simplicity and smooth casting. Hardly any backlashes. Just not a Shimano Curado. Casting power won’t come from this reel, but retrieval is tight and does what it claims.

I attached the Tatula CT 6.3:1 to the Tatula 7’4” heavy power moderate action glass rod. The pair is a great combo for cranking anything with a blade onto it. The casting of the Tatula CT is amazing and a great value.

Very nice reel- super smooth retrieve and good casting distance. Baitcast rookie here, and it is definitely possible to backlash this reel, but the learning process is going well. Mounted it on a Kistler rod and it's a fantastic outfit that fishes great.
