Toilet was leaking, turns out it was the flange. Plumber wanted 1500 to fix it. I bought this and two wax rings, fixed it myself in 20 minutes. All you need is a drill. Easy install, super simple to understand, and it stopped my leak.

Was so happy with alittle work and alittle planing i managed to get this headach toilet repaired.....Was really disappointed with the price ,yes i get it its home shopping but i bought this started my repair had to run to H/D an pick up a few things ....an found this exact hydro seal for almost7.00 bucks less then i paid on amazon .....just sayin with everything going on in the world an every $ mattering shop around

I am a licensed Master Plumber, And this works every time if it is properly installed. Of course the proper way would be to raise the toilet flange above the finished floor like it shouod be, it should sit on top of the finished floor but most customers do mot want to spend sll that money, therefore there are many other options out there to raise the flange, But i think this works just as good as spacets or other flange extenders. If you put a regular high qaulity wax ring under this and then attach this to your floor, Then put another high qaulity wax ring on top of this, then sit your toilet down and push straight down , and tighten the toilet to flange bolts with proper washers you will not have leaks.. alot of people are not using a wax ring under this and on top and that's why your having leaks. This products says you dont need a wax ring but i recommend putting a wax ring under this and on top. I have installed at least 300 of these and never had a leak . When your done installing this product it should sit on top of your finished floor and after you put another wax ring on top you should have to physically push the toilet down with alittle force to spread the wax. Do not turn the toioet to left and right after you push it down or you will jeopardize the wax seal.. just push straight down and then tighten your bolts with the proper washers switch from left side to right side alittle at a time until toilet is snug, Do not over tighten the bolts because you can crack the toilet.. i use the American Standard plastic nut and extended bolt cap, it only requires you to tighten it by hand and you dont have to cut new bolts, because the caps are made longer to fit long bolts.. i keep abox of these on my work van
