No hay artículos en el carroBesides being an amazing composer, producer and bassist, Jon Stockman is amazing at crafting some of the most devastating bass tones in the world. We got together in our then Helsinki headquarters 18 months ago and after endless tweaking and tens of prototypes we are finally ready to announce our first co-designed creation: Alpha Omega. This creation differs greatly from our previous preamplifiers and overdrives: it is fully operational amplifier based and has two distinct distortion circuits (Alpha and Omega) which can be selected or blended using our Mod knob. This unusual control, in conjunction with the toggle switches and 3 active band equalizer makes Alpha Omega the most flexible among our designs.

You wont see to many reviews on the Darkglass Alpha Omega Dual Bass Preamp OD Pedal because some bassists wouldn't think of spending this kind of money on a pedal. My advice, dont think that way if your serious about your playing. When was the last time you plugged into a pedal that really made you smile large.I don't want to repeat what others have said already, but I will echo its the best sounding distortion and outperforms every pedal I have and had period!I'm fastidious with my tone. I have my clean sound I stick too but never really found a distortion tone I can mix with it (whether it was Tech21 or a multi effect pedal that simulates popular distortion pedals) that I could dial into and say, Yeah this is it! I bought the Aftershock pedal and felt it would help me get that dirt tone I was looking for with all its options and software patches. It came close but too much tweaking for my taste.IMO reading reviews carries more weight than watching video demos on pedals that are polished and made to look and sound great. Who would buy a pedal if it didn't sound good in a video? I get Darkglass is not cheap, alot of dudes don't even bother looking into it because of the price, as I did. But when I followed up on the Alpha/Omega OD Preamp, read reviews everywhere, listen to demos and than plugged into one. Holy Shi-ola, I found that distortion tone I wanted and it sounds pretty dam close to the video demos.Tech21 and the Aftershock are decent pedals I have them as well but, if you want that tight, distortion that sounds real (not synthetic or noisy) without sacrificing your tone or bottom end and gives you that vibe knowing you and the band sound better. This is it! It maybe in the $300 dollar range but worth every penny.

I just got back in to playing after taking a 16 year break. I found Darkglass on Instagram listed in the comments of players I started following. Then just went down a rabbit hole of bass pedals. This pedal/preamp/di box is Amazing! If you want bad ass tight distortion this pedal has it. If you want looser heavier tone this pedal has it. I run it heavy on the alpha side and it kicks! Next up is an amp replacement and Yup I'm going Darkglass on that too. I love this piece of Finnish tech, would recommend Darkglass all day.
