I do not know how long these strings will stay bright and snappy, but so far I am blown away with their ultra high acoustic attributes. I am just going to keep playing them until they lose their brightness...might be a week, might be a month or more. Supposedly these are the second or third chapters of Dean Markleys. I heard Apex strings is making a string closer to the original SR2000, but without the contact core.

Sound great and last. Like Conklin Snake Skins, but affordable.

I like exposed core strings, it's a personal preference. The feel is soft and the sound is warm and work well on my MTD535 bass and Warwick 5 bass. I have been using them for several years. Please be advised these strings are Stainless Steel and not Nickle as stated in description!

Bass strings are a highly personal choice, so YMMV.These particular strings are clear, have deep bell like tones and tend to be very consistent across sets. The durability is good and the tonal range is excellent. Highly recommended, I use them on a GT-7 and a Warwick Thumb 4 bo.
