These are good quality tri clamp strainer gaskets. I got the 30 mesh to trap any larger bits of debris when I am running a cleaner cycle on my fermenters. The 30mesh is perfect for trapping larger debris and prevent recirculation through the pump system. This also minimizes the resistance so nearly full power is directed towards the CIP ball. By preventing this from entering your pump you not only help keep your pump clean but also keep debris from plugging up your CIP ball and impacting flow.They seal perfectly and the mesh is perfectly embedded into the gasket material without any poke through. I am happy with their performance!

These are filters that replace the normal rubber gasket that goes between triclamp fittings to add a filter in line to protect things like pumps etc. That's really what you should use it for, as a last protection to keep chunks out of things like a pump. You should not rely on it as a primary filter when doing something like transferring wort in homebrewing because these meshes will clog very quickly due to the small surface area. You should also take care to select the proper mesh size for your application or it will clog quickly.With those caveats in mind, these are pretty useful as a last line of defense to protect your pumps and other things downstream that might not like to be fed chunks. The filter is well made and shows no sign of rusting or any other problems after using it. I feel like the price is a bit high for what you're getting, which is my other main critique, but these filters are useful in the right application.
