Seleccionar el tamaño correcto
El tamaño de la tubería se considera ampliamente como nominal y, a veces, se hace referencia desde el antiguo sistema de tamaño de tubería de hierro (IPS). El tamaño de la tubería no es un tamaño medido, sino una designación de la industria y no representa el verdadero diámetro interior o exterior.

I bought the 1/4" NPT MxF. The body is stamped 304SS and I've no reason to believe it's not. Together with an elbow and short SS nipple I replaced the drain valve on my air compressor with this combination and it's working great. Holding pressure at just under 120psi so I would give the ball valve good marks.02/09/2019 Update: While I still feel this is an excellent choice for the money I have learned it's not bubble tight. Most ball valves aren't when it comes to gas/air and this one is no exception. The compressor leaks down over time. Probably takes a week to drop from 120psi to 80. Another week and it's down to 40. Haven't yet seen it hit 0, don't know if it will hold some level of pressure or not but no more often than I use my compressor, this isn't a big deal for me.

Came as advertised. My only complaint is that the female threaded side was rife with shavings and pits in the threading. I was going to use teflon tape regardless. Only reason for 4/5 stars.
