I got the REALHUNLEE AC Leak Detector Flashlight to find leaks in my HVAC system, and wow, this thing is amazing! This flashlight is crazy powerful, making it super easy to find leaks even in bright light. The glasses that come with it are a nice touch, too. I plan to use it for the other uses too (checking money, IDs, etc). It’s built like a tank with military-grade aluminum, and the non-slip grip and lanyard are super handy. The light stays bright and covers a large area and didn't drain the batteries. I have no worries thanks to the 1-year satisfaction guarantee. All in all, the REALHUNLEE AC Leak Detector Flashlight is a must-have for anyone needing to find HVAC leaks. Highly recommend it!

Works fine for what it is: a cheap UV light. Keep minimal expectations and you'll be happy. My favorite thing about it are these use instructions:"Remove the batteries from the leak detection flashlight when not using it! "

*Update*Seller contacted me through Amazon and quickly sent a replacement light. Replacement light works great with no issues. These UV flashlights really do put out plenty of light and certainly enough to track down an AC leak (using UV Dye, of course). Good inexpensive DIY alternative... Just an FYI - Take the batteries out of the unit when storing as AA have a tendency to leak. Good hunting! This unit puts out a good amount UV light, particularly if you use it in dim to dark light, but right after the first use, it stopped working. I replaced the batteries. No good. Took the thing apart and cleaned all contacts. No good. Made sure all batteries (3x AA) were correctly oriented and the battery cassette was in the correct way. Nope, unit was dead. Too late to return so I threw it in the trash.

This item so far has saved me tons of money :-) my truck is a 2000 F350 so all original cooling components as far as I know. Air conditioner has always been ice cold and I knew after 23 years something had to give up soon. In the spring I added a couple cans of freon because it quit cooling finally. It leaked out within a couple weeks so I knew right then it was a bigger leak than I wanted to keep adding freon to.A month or two later I decided.. let me look into this leak detector and get the air conditioner working again.... because it is really nice to be in a cool truck between jobs.I added the dye and Freon the rest of the way like I would on any car. Found the leak near the nose of the compressor, noticed it running down and back from there. Started looking at new compressors online and figured that was going to be my next move.Amazing thing happened, I don't know if the dye somehow lubricated the o-ring or whatever was leaking, but I've had air conditioner for a few months now. I'm wondering if it just somehow sealed or lubricated the o-rings that were leaking ... all I know is I haven't had to buy my compressor yet.Thank you for this product, not only did it show me the leak it seems to have slowed it down or stopped it.
