The hose cutter is sharp and easy to use - perfectly straight cuts every time. So much easier and better than using a razor knife to cut brake hoses. The razor blade is also replaceable and appears to be the same as some carpet cutter blades (I'll try to remember to check this and post an update). The fitting press works just fine but the screw (threaded rod) is aluminum (not steel) and the fit is a little loose. It moves nicely but a few drops of oil really help smooth it out. For a shop tool or more than occasional use, it would be better if the screw were steel. Time will tell. The clamp holds the hose nice and straight and the screw threads are just the right pitch to make pushing in the fitting quick and easy. For the price, it's tough to beat and every home mechanic should just get one. Your brakes will thank you by developing fewer air leaks!

I do a LOT of bike maintenance and this thing fit the bill, super easy to use and the pin is straight and narrow. All in all works like a charm and a great value.

The 2-in-1 Needle Driver and Hydraulic Hose Cutter Tool has some useful features, but overall, it didn’t meet my expectations. The needle-assisted positioning works fine for static placement, but I found it challenging to use with ordinary oil needles, and the fit wasn't as secure as I had hoped.Switching between the double plugs is relatively easy, but the cutting performance left much to be desired. While the cutter does allow for neat and fast cuts, it struggled with thicker hoses, which made the process frustrating at times.Additionally, the design could benefit from better ergonomics; it felt awkward in hand during extended use. I appreciate the replaceable blade feature, but for the price, I expected a more reliable and user-friendly tool. Overall, it’s a decent concept but needs improvements in functionality and ease of use.

Excellent, looks and operates like an advanced home mechanic tool. All aluminum construction is built to last and easy to service.Quite happy with this tool. I got it in anticipation of future hydraulic repair work on my bikes but unfortunately my review will stop short of installation of barbs and cutting hydraulic lines. The tool seems well machined. I did not all the threads were bone dry. I highly encourage adding some 3in1 or suitable lightweight oil to all the threads and hinges and it is silky smooth operation. The driver seems in line with the holder's center line in all directions. However there is a visual look of skew between the edge of the tool and the threads of the driver. I am not sure if that is just optical or what as everything seems inline from my quick measurements. I love that the blade is easily swappable held in place by 2 hex grub screws. The blades are standard pen sized box cutter blades. Cheap and easy to swap to a clean fresh blade. The driver has a small pin to hold the barb in place and the drive itself is swappable (theoretically) held in place with an o-ring on the driver's thread. I also really like that they have a guide pin on the lower hose clamp screw to keep everything in alignment. No complaints thus far. I am glad it's the all-aluminum construction vs the plastic body ones, i think that is a worthy upgrade for durability. It is silky smooth once oiled up as good of quality as any of my name brand bike tools it could easily have their alphanumeric number on it and i wouldn't know the difference. professional mechanics might find some limitations just from a daily usage standpoint but for the home gamer bike mechanic this is an excellent choice.
