When it comes to drilling Hard Metals, including Alloys, these drill bits are the best I have found.They're actually Not anything spectacular for softer metals... Gold Ferrous isn't actually intended for that. It's intended for the really hard stuff.I have drilled Armored Plate with these...and they by far Exceeded the performance on it than, for instance, Titanium or Cobalt Bits (though both are Better for softer metals than Gold Ferrous).So if you're drilling hard metal alloy's...These are the way to go.They Reliably drill 347H, White Iron (Iron Carbide) and Aluminum Alloy Anti Anti- Aircraft Round Armor like the engine armor on a Wart Hog Attack Plane.

The dewalt 1/4 drill bit replacement or bit itself you could call it either one.The durability is so far I can tell I drilled five hole in some three eights thick wood and and drilled in skem thin like thick tin like angle corner piece or some sort of another with some oil down pretty good for what can tell it being gold ferrious oxide I’ve herd some pretty bad reviews on these type of bits because they either rub off the gold ferrouis oxide or do really bad in the drilling department or in an other way life expectancy so for me I’m SURPRISED like so far the gold ferrouis oxide seems to hold on tight like burnt stove marks! I would highly recommend these to people as an replacement which most of people but these certain type of bits like me for an replacement or for just you need one bit now mind you that’s one bit! That rocks hard dewalt you’ve surprised me still an dewalt fan and probably will always be!.Highly recommend these to everyone!
