Worked perfectly for multiple BIOS reflashes. The pogo pins worked great to provide a more positive connection when straddling the chip (I did the reflashes in powered off circuit - YMMV). You do have to take care in positioning and holding, but that’s normal operation. No complaints at all.

Successfully used this to write a new bios onto a winbond 25q256jweq chip (Asus x570i mobo) after a failed bios update made all other recovery methods impossible. Fairly simple process using UEFITool to extract the rom from the bios cap file and flashrom to write it to the chip. Used ubuntu since it had an up to date version of flashrom in apt.
