Anyone familiar with Dimensions kits knows the quality. The charts are easy to read with just red, black and blue colors. The symbols are also easy to read. Dimensions always uses some color mixing and stitches with various amounts of thread. This kit is not for beginners, but the finished project will still be gorgeous.

I've done cross stitch before but this was my first big project and the first one I've ever actually finished. The directions were easy to follow. The only part I don't like is that the pattern leaves empty spaces with no stitching that are supposed to be the white parts and to me, it looked unfinished. I went to Wal-Mart and bought some "snow-white" dmc threads to fill in and it looks SO nice.I followed some youtube videos on how to assemble the stocking once finished and was able to sew mine together with a sewing machine (first time using one).I used flannel for the backing and cotton for the liner. I can't wait to start the next one! Also, it took me about 4 months to finish. Not too bad considering I'm a full-time student, work full-time and have a crazy 15 month old harassing me while I tried to work on it!The only thing I would do differently is not put the outline in black around the piece. I think it would've looked better without it.
