For a cheaper tool it got me out of a tight spot. I had some floor leveler that didn't lay as expected on my basement slab and needed some flattening. I was very pleased with the dust control using a shop vac and home depot dust separator. It didn't grind down concrete as easy but the sandy leveler without aggregate, it did well. Glad I bought it.

This really saved me so much clean up after grinding 200+ sqft of thinset. However, setup was challenging as we had to get creative in how we connected the shroud to two different grinders. It didn’t sit flush and did wears unevenly at first but ultimately worked really well. Connecting it to the vacuum was challenging and we ended up duct taping it several times after trying the adapter and two different vacuums. I’m glad I bought it and would probably buy it again knowing these challenges because the benefit out weighed the challenges.

The 5 inch shroud and diamond wheel meshed up perfectly with my 20-volt Dewalt 4 inch angle grinder. Came with an assortment of adapters and a disk spacer. Only took five minutes to sort out the best combination and give it spin to check clearance. The spring loaded brush seal moves up and down in the shroud to keep a seal with the concrete. Only notable escape of dust is when the angle grinder is tilted perpendicular to the surface. The hose adapter included fit perfectly with my small Craftman shop vacuum (though not with my large Ridged). On occasion the hose would pop off from vigorous movement of the grinder, and would give you an on the spot example of just how well it contains the 95+ percent of the dust.Great tool cleaned off both the thinset and carpet glue I found under the tile after removing it with a hammer drill. Buy it! You will be glad you did.PS Wrote this after depleting four 5 Ah batteries while allowing my Dewalt to cool off.

I had a need to grind down and smooth out a decent amount of concrete and was not looking forward to the dust cloud and time I expected it would take with a multi-tool or regular diamond blades. I ran across this combo at a far lower cost than the options from other places and gave it a try. It worked well! The pieces fit my Hitachi 4.5" angle grinder, the blade ground through the concrete at a decent rate but not too fast, and being able to connect it to my vacuum made it a much less messy activity. A respirator/mask is still needed, but I saw how well the dust shroud was working when the vacuum hose disconnected at one point. It still threw larger debris around and I had to clean up, but at least I could see what I was doing as the fine dust was sucked into the vac.Which leads me to the only negative... The "adapter" did not accommodate my 12 gallon vac, so I had to build up a combination using an adapter I had already combined with several strategic layers of duct tape. Plan to spend some time figuring out how to connect the shroud to your grinder and get a solid hose connection.
