I mounted this wheel on a mandrel that fits my speed controlled rotary tool that is mounted to a same manufacturer router table. I wanted to carefully sharpen my scissors (attached to a fixture) that permitted a smooth stroke at the angle I wanted. I was able to lightly move the cutting edge at the set speed over the surface of this wheel. I got good results and resharpened all my scissors. Even though it did dust off a bit only pressing lightly; I’ll get good use from this wheel for this purpose. If you look at the picture provided in the description, I noticed un-even looking coating. And that is what my wheel looked like when I received it. In my opinion it’s ok for light but I wouldn’t expect to get a lot of use from it if I over exerted the wheel with pressure and speed.

Summary: I have been using diamond based cutters, both for knife sharpening as well as for powered tool use, for over twenty years. The biggest take away is to let the diamond do the work, as excessive force applied will simply shorten the life of the diamond cutting tool.Observations: This offering by MARHYNCHUS is not identified for a specific task, so assuming general purpose grinding. This offering at $7 is less than typical diamond based grinding wheels (even at the small 2" diameter size). At time of review the manufacturer offers 305 products, with about 100 being diamond related. There are lots of products offered, but most have no ratings yet (new offering). I am skeptical about the quality because fusing/bonding the diamond abrasive to the backing plate is a somewhat specialized process. When that process is not well implemented, the tool will dull rapidly as the diamond abrasive is lost very quickly. The grit of this grinding wheel was not identified in the Amazon product details.Pros: Low cost; many size offerings.Cons: New manufacturer/non-specialty.Conclusion: At $7 for a single 2 inch wheel, rating this 3-stars initially (non-specialty, new offering).

Grit is unmarked anywhere and the coating is inconsistent not sure how that will affect longevity of use…
