As a veterinarian, I try to help owners find products that will help keep them and their pet as well as others safe when they go for walks, enter stressful environments or want to prevent adverse animal interactions. Occasionally cage muscles that are soft well fitting are needed. They can drink, pants, breathe and open their mouths fully inside these muzzles. They can simply prevent them from Putting things they shouldn't eat, things they shouldn't bite or stopping them from chewing on themselves… If your pet is used to wearing muscles without complaint, these are fine. They are very soft flexible and giving. Unfortunately should your dog decide to try to get it off, these do not hold up well with a little front foot toenail action they can break the rim that holds the straps in place. Unfortunately that makes muscles virtually useless, so you must watch your pet and make sure they are a custom to wearing a muzzle before you try to utilize this one. all muscles can be ripped broken and turn off the head if used in properly. Overall these are good quality muscles at a fraction of the price and are a good investment if this is the type of product you need.

I needed a muzzle for my dog. When we went to the dog park, he would go up to other dogs and nip at them to get them to run with him, and I wanted to stop that behavior. The concerns I had when searching for a product:- Will it prevent him from being able to drink?- Is the muzzle durable or will he be able to tear it up?- Will it stay on him? This muzzle passed off of tase criteria. The muzzle doesn't restrict him in any way, except that he can't nip at anything. He hasn't worn it a dozen times yet, so he's still getting used to it. He doesn't like the restriction and rubs his head on the ground to try to get it off, but it's very secure. At first I was concerned that it was bothering him, but I can see that it's only an annoyance that he's getting used to. When he sees a bird that he wants to point to or starts running with other dogs, then he's unconcerned about it. The muzzle looks and feels very durable. It's not going to fall apart. I recommend this muzzle and am very satisfied with my purchase. And I'll add that the support team has been very friendly and helpful when I wrote to them for advice to make sure I was using it correctly.

it fit him substantially poorly and did not stay on — it was easy for him to remove, regardless of what i did. trying to fasten or adjust it so it was harder to remove put it right up into his eyes, which was very uncomfortable and far from ideal. in general, it was very much up to the corner of his eyes and very bad for him. he panics already when i put things on him that he doesn't like (re: stubborn shiba), so when it actively traps and scares him, it makes it much worse. looping the collar with other means of security to try to lower it (i tried a few thick strings to adjust it in ways I couldn't otherwise) did, really, nothing for either the security or comfort of it.overall useless. i couldn't keep it on him for more than a few minutes.like, i'm sure it's durable enough, but what's the use of that if you can't even keep it on the dog?

The muzzle portion fit my dogs perfectly but the straps on the top and bottom were not long enough to reach the collar properly and causes the collar to pull the ears forward. I've managed to make it work but if you have a dog with a large head you have to measure more than just the muzzle. The straps for a smaller muzzle were exactly the same length as the straps for a larger muzzle, doesn't make sense. My dog's collars don't sit directly behind their ears. Also the muzzle is not made for dogs with big jowls like my Rottie, it squeezes him in a bit. Otherwise it fit well, seems durable enough and are working well for their desired use.

THANK YOU Barkless!!! Please stay in business! I have used several different muzzle styles and though basket muzzled are best for serious behavioral problems, they are usually hard, stiff plastic and uncomfortable, which makes me feel a little guilty when using on very naughty, but adorable, beagle mix. Strong prey drive and general mental problems have made him VERY diffiult to train. Managed with PROPER ecollar training and desensitization training to make a lot of progress......but his mind just CAN'T RELAX.........EVER. Once the muzzle is on, his mind IMMEDIATELY calms. The constant, whining, pacing, searching for critters, digging up yard, scouting for other dogs to attack.....digging in trash and stealing food from pantry..ALL STOPS. Even the highest dose CBD oil I bought for him (EXPENSIVE) didn't make a dent in his "crazy", but now, totally relaxed. Not only is the silicone VERY soft and pliable, but the straps are soft and well designed with extra soft fabric on side that rubs against dog. Please keep up the good work Barkless!Update: this is almost a perfect product. As other's have mentioned, real biters/aggressive dogs CAN bite through, as pics show. Dangerous if your trusting muzzle to protect from biting. My advice to maker is: Continue making the face portion w soft, flexible, silicone, but use the HARD plastic across mouth/bite area, if this is possible. Unfortunately, I can't use on 25 lb crazy beagle mix until new design comes out. Thanks for an almost perfect product. Keep trying!
