The sherpa lining is great and this is very warm. The fit seems just a little tight on me, but still comfortable. Any beanie I get seems to be worn out when I go to put it on the second year - stretched out and loose fitting. Maybe I have a big head? Whatever the case, I did hear a definite pop the first 3 times I put this on, like a thread or seam ripping, but I haven't noticed any problems since, so maybe it was just a break-in stretch?Overall I like it so far and I expect to use it lot this Winter. If it's too stretched out to use next year, I won't be too surprised or disappointed, since it seems to happen to all of them!

Have 3 or 4 knit caps/beanies that had reached the point of having that homeless person stretched out/disheveled quality. Wife said time for them to go so with ever thinning hair unable to keep me warm it was get a new one or suffer. This Donfri knit cap fills the bill and at a reasonable price to boot.According to the label, it is 78% polyester, 13% acrylic, 6% wool, and 3% spandex. For being mostly polyester, it is surprisingly soft to the touch and does not itch. It is warm despite the modest wool content. I wore it several times for lengthy periods while raking leaves and doing other fall yard chores in temperatures in the mid 30’s and it kept my head and ears plenty warm. This was true even when the wind was sharp.Sold as one size fits all, it is stretchy. Fits my larger than average head snugly which I like. Nothing worse than a cap that slides around when you are working. As you can see in the photo, enough material to double up over the ears.Upon arrival inspected the seams and stitching and all was well. Have had it now about a month and worn it at least a dozen times. Been through the washer and dryer once. Holding up just fine.At less that $12 (in Dec. 2024) the cap is a good value considering its quality. Too early to fully evaluate longevity and durability but so far, so good. If it later disappoints on this, I will return and update. For now, considering the comfort, effectiveness, quality of construction, and price, have to give this little gem a full five stars.DISCLAIMER: I am a member of the Amazon Vine program.
