EXACT REPLICA OF THE OEM PART THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED ON MY TENSIONER. All except the bearing which apparently went "walk-about" on my old one. When the part has a bearing to spin on, it's a lot quieter under the hood. ;-) I find it somewhat funny to read all the comments about the pulley being "too small". It's only too small if you bought it to replace your IDLER PULLEY. It is definitely not that part.I just wish it had come with a new mounting bolt since mine got pretty chewed up when the previous bearing exploded. But I give it 5 stars for quality and fit. Dorman puts out good stuff, even if it comes from China. Thanks for reading my review. 👍🏻

This is a replacement Tensioner Pulley for the Tensioner Assembly on the Passenger side of a 2005 - 2012 5.4L V8 Ford F150, it also fits other makes and models and configurations but since Amazon lists these pulleys incorrectly I strongly encourage buyers to update fitment details to help fellow buyers! I own 3 different Ford F150 trucks, all with the 5.4L so this is based on my own uses for these Idler Pulleys, very easy to change and they are high quality as far a manufacturer specs, Dorman makes several components for OEM applications. Quality is 10 / 10, listing description is horrendous, luckily I read someone elses reviews to know I needed the 409-602 by Dorman to replace my Idler Pulleys on the Driver & Passenger sides of my oldest truck (2008). I ordered 4 of these to have 2 spares in my shop for the other trucks when needed.

This replaced the idler pulley on my 08 Ford Fusion 2.3L. This pulley comes with a gold colored cylinder that fits in the pulley which I decided not to use. This pulley can be used on many different vehicles so maybe in some cases the gold cylinder might make sense. I just reused exactly what was on my old pulley. If you don't it probably wont be aligned right. The old pulley had a big concave washer and a thick silver cylinder. Note how these are orientated when you take them off the old one. The concave washer wont fit as snug on the face of this new pulley but it doesn't affect anything. Also there would have been a little plastic piece to keep the silver cylinder from sliding off when you remove it. This was broken for me. It's not imperative to have it just makes sure the silver cylinder is fully seated in the pulley when you go to install it. Since I didn't have that when installing it I was worried it wouldn't get seated when I tightened it. As I got the screw tight I heard a snap and then the screw was looser again so then I kept tightening a little more and it got tight again. So this meant the cylinder slipped in to the right position and was seated. You could probably make a small little plastic piece from a bottle or something to put on there when you go to install. It does no harm and will just stay inside the cylinder. Also when you go to pull it out, pulling from the top worked from me although tight. Then I put it in that way too. Anyway my car is much quieter now! I used a mechanic stethoscope with a cone shaped end on it to pin point the noise. I recommend getting one they are not even $15. It can save you from changing unnecessary stuff.
