I bought this item as it said that it was a replacement for my drivers side wiper arm that broke.The specs said that it would fit my 1978 Pontiac Safari Wagon. DO NOT BUY IT - It will not fityour car if a 1978 Pontiac Safari. It has a factory pressed bend in it that if you install it, it willnot engage at all against the windshield, rendering it absolutely useless. I ended up placingit in vice, used a super hot torch to get it red hot at the arm, then bent it to shape it totry and fit against the windshield. I then also had to heat and bend the end where the wiperblade goes on, to make it sweep right across the windshield. It lasted until I found an entirereplacement assembly for the car, in a junk yard. I use it as a spare an is sitting in storage now.But, when going faster than 30 mph, the blade would run above the windshield and be useless.Beware!
