The trunk release latch by the driver's seat broke in our 2009 Toyota Yaris. Took about an hour to replace and works as intended. Fortunately we were able to tape the end of the new one to the end of the old one and pull it through instead of having to remove the back seat which saved a lot of time.

Being creative and fitting this to the interior handle on my 2012 Toyota Yaris provided a fix for my broken front hood cable release
