Our 2013 Edge with dual zone climate control would not blow hot air out on the left side. I pulled the large plastic panel off beneath the steering wheel (2 bolts and 4 friction clips) to get better access to the three phillips screws holding the actuator on. I only replaced the actuator, I did not replace any of the linkage. The job took a total of about 30 minutes. The heater now works as it should.

So my Lincoln suddenly started blowing hot air in the middle of summer, I disconnected the blend actuator so it was able to be drivable and called my dealer to fix it. the initial response was $80 to diagnose the problem and 150 to 200+ for replacement. I figured I would try it myself for 35 bucks. This item fit perfectly but was however quite hard to get to under the dash. Laying "wupside" down with some makeshift short phillips bits, I was able to remove the 3 screws and replace with this one. (good videos on internet) It has now been working for 2 years with no issues. I waited to write review to see if this aftermarket was going to hold up. Only one problem I encountered which I can't be certain is even an issue. After I installed the unit with the mechanism provided, the blend door would hang up about halfway every time it operated. I removed it, checked linkage with old one and it looked exact. Tried again, same thing binding at half stroke but worked full stroke when removed from ductwork. Because you are upside down and no visual I was unable to see or feel problem. I reinstalled it with the original linkage and it worked perfectly every time. So whatever the problem was I could not re-create it. I guess that's why the dealer wanted $3 bills to look at it. It's a half hour job if you only do it one time. Haha

Se pudo instalar sin problemas y el hardware incluido ayuda para que quede como nuevo.
