I fixed an old sweater that has a metal zipper and this was the easiest fix out there. I ordered another version to fix two coats that had plastic zippers too. They all fit perfectly and works like a charm. I highly recommend this product. Just make sure to order the right one for the specific zipper material: metal, plastic or nylon. And you’re good to go!

Great product. I measured 5+ millimeters when I tried to put the zipper teeth together and assumed it would fit size 5. Googled instructions and installed in under 2 minutes! Glad I purchased.

I had received the product with the slight delay. Yet, once I opened it, I could see it is a good zipper. It would most likely work on any common size 5 coil zipper, yet mine was quite uncommon. Therefore, I didn't manage to use it, yet. I am quite sure one of the other zippers will go bad soon. Nonetheless, once you have it on your hands, you'll see it is a quality driven little zipper. I found this item when searching for a fix for a pool cue stick case that had a broken zipper slider for the main compartment zipper. I had taken the case to a local upholstery store and they were not wanting to repair it. After finally being tired of using packing tape to keep my case closed I started looking for options. I settled on this option over others mostly because this one was specific to nylon coil zippers which is what my case had and the fact that it was made of all metal and not plastic. I measured and found my zipper was close to 5mm according to my measurements so I ordered this one and hoped for the best. The instructions were straight forward and the slider worked as designed. all i had to do was take some time and use a set of pliers to manually close some of the zipper at one end which was a little tricky but then i placed the zipper over that portion and snapped it closed and everything worked perfectly from there. It is a bit tight and does not zip and unzip as easily as the old zipper but otherwise works perfectly. As long as you order the correct slider for the zipper you have and measure correctly these should work every time. I am happy to not have to spend $40-$70 on a new case as the one I have has plenty of life left to it.
