I bought this counterweight to help stabilize a lighter Tama stand that I use for my ride, and it fits and works perfectly. And, it just looks amazing. Great piece of gear and worth every penny.

This is an amazing counter weight. I was a little worried because all I have is Yamaha booms and gibraltar brake tilt booms. Fits both perfect. Get one, you won't be disappointed

Although high in price for what it is, it does do the job even on my Tama Road Pro. For some reason Tama doesn't make they boom arms an industry standard of 10.5 or 12 mm. They seem to have picked about 11 mm but advertise as 12. What's up with that Tama. Ragardless this counter weight will clamp down on the thinner boom arm of Tama.

Solved my issue perfectly. I ordered a 13" tom to add to my kit and it was just heavy enough to pull my 5000 series stand a wee bit if I'm going for it. FYI, when you're installing it, you might think, like I did, that it doesn't fit a 5000 series stand. I thought the plastic collar in the connection was too big to slide over the boom arm. Just apply some pressure and twist it on. Glove.
