With high power front light needed for winter cycling but bumpy roads causing it to swivel I looked up the cycling forums to get some advice. This tape came highly recommended and a couple of turns round the handlebar before fitting the light gives a solid mount.

Smells odd, works well. One edge kept separating a thin bead of material that left the edge frayed. It doesn't really affect the function as the material blends into itself, but could be annoying if you were looking for a perfect edge-to-edge wrap.

I needed something to put on the handlebars of my electric scooter to prevent certain mountable accessories from slipping and this worked like a charm! It's got a strange smell to it - almost like sap or something - and it's quite sticky. It's effective enough to only need just enough to wrap around twice and it holds. Now my mounted lights, cell phone holder, and action camera mount stay put! Awesome stuff.

I love this stuff. It's double-sided cloth tape that is tacky but not overly sticky. It sticks to itself well though, so works well for applications where you can wrap it all the way around. It can leave residue occasionally, but not too bad. I've never noticed any getting on my hands.I've been playing with quadcopters lately and it seems like I come up with a new use for friction tape every day. E.g., wrap a strip around your FatShark goggles battery to keep them from constantly slipping out of the strap. Or wrap a strip around your FatShark camera before tie-wrapping it to the frame so it won't pop out of the tie-wrap when you hit a tree.I picked up a roll of Ace Hardware brand friction tape today and it appears to be identical to the Duck brand at about half the price. Plus you can buy it at your local Ace Hardware Store. (In the electrical department, not the paint department where all the other tapes are.)3M 3407NA friction tape is also great, but different. It's just a nice one-sided cloth tape. It's stickier than the Duck stuff on its sticky side, but not sticky at all on the other. But being cloth it's nice and flexible and has a good surface texture. And it sticks to things without having to wrap it around. So I use it almost as often as the Duck friction tape. It's way nicer than plastic electrical tape.
