I was so excited for this, but it's kind of just a heavy metal box. It requires some lining up to make it stay closed, but I think I would have an easier time if I just bought a plain metal box and put it under my floors.

This is a great lockbox, perfectly designed to hold your CCTV DVR. It is very easy to assemble, and install, and is a very secure spot for your surveillance video. You have to kind of take the box apart, bolt it down, Set your DVR box inside, and reassemble. Your DVR box will be very secure inside. This is a very secure box, made out of very heavy duty steel. Is heavy on its own And bolted in place. Very well designed, very easy to use, and very secure. Great product, great price, highly recommended.

The box made of a decently thick steel and comes with longer screws which are helpful in making the until harder to steal as a whole. The lock it comes with is a joke and honestly I'm not sure why they bothered including it at all as it makes the whole unit seem less well thought out and put together. The back is open to allow cords to come through but also would easily allow someone to pry the back open and just steal the DVR anyways. In general it should keep people out whom are looking for a quick theft but if someone wanted to take your DVR this wouldn't stop them especially if you use the included lock .It'll work well enough for my purposes with a new lock, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

This is a very nice ventilated steel box. It uses thick steel and includes long screws to give the appearance of security. Mostly, that is all it needs to do. Show anyone planning a heist that they will encounter resistance, perhaps more than the next place. It is painted well, includes precut foam to limit movement of the recorder inside the box.In my opinion it is worth $20-60. The DVR or NVR it is intended to protect may cost $60-200. The more expensive recorders are also physically larger and will not fit inside this box.The included Chinese lock is worth $2 at most. It is quite poorly made and easily defeated. However it does not look like a typical Master lock and may fool someone into thinking it is good. It does have 4 keys which may be useful to someone. The back of the box is open. That is necessary to let the cables pass through. It also lets crowbars pass through. For best security mount the unit with the back very close to, or inside, a wall to limit access to the back side.

I wanted a security case for my security camera NVR (Network Video Recorder) that provides spacing for airflow. My NVR is small enough to fit in this security case. It allows access to the PoE ports as well as the USB, VGA port, as well as the power port. High density foam pads are included to allow space for airflow and some cushioning. The gage is fairly thick and would take some effort to break into the case. The included lock allows for removal of the NVR, should you need to service it, without removing the body of the security case. This case has some heft. It comes with nice long mounting screws and drywall anchors. Be sure to measure your dimensions of your NVR to see if this fits your needs. There are only vent slats in the front, so you'll have to take care of business primarily on the back end. This case is a good security option if your NVR fits it.
