This clamp works extremely well. It’s very simple, easy to set up and quite sturdy. I think it’s considerably better than a stand. It’s also pretty slick looking too!!

I like it’s rugged construction, a bit over done but DW is known for rugged accessories that won’t break when you need it most. This mounting system will place your mic in most any position needed and it will stay there. It is good to have if you have more than one bass drum but only one bass drum mic. You can easily move it from drum to drum.

We use a few of these to mic our kick drums in the different venues of our church. I was looking a for a flexible solution to having tight spaces on risers with not a lot of room for a kick mic stand. This clips right on to the kick drum hoop and is super adjustable so you can place the mic wherever you want. Although it’s pretty hefty, it does not rattle when the kick drum is played. DW quality means it’ll last forever. Super happy with this!
