I recently got an oil change on my girlfriends 2013 Chevy Equinox four cylinder and they do a routine check on various things they can also replace. They showed me the air filter and wanted to charge almost $40 to put in a new one. Naturally I said no thanks and went straight to Amazon to order this perfect replacement for a fraction of the cost. It took less than five minutes to replace and is a perfect fit. Just remove the four screws around the air filter box, carefully lift the top, pop out the old filter and slide in this new one. Be extra careful with the screw closest to the front of the car on the passenger side as I accidentally dropped it and it was a pain to get it out since it didn't fall all the way to the ground.

Not sure what to say. It's a filter. It fits my 2012 2.4L Chevy Equinox. I replaced the factory one back in 2018 at 30,000 miles. I replaced it again in 2024 at 56,000 miles.Even at my low mileage driving, the manufacturer says change it every 5 years. I pushed it to 6 years because what do they know. I bought the first one for $12 and the second one for $9. It's one those easy cheap things anyone can do. You need a T-25 head for the screws on a 2012 model. Takes 5 minutes or less to change.
