This replacement pump integrated well with the existing installation. Water flow through the fountain is adequate. The original lasted less than one year. I will see what the longevity is on this new replacement.

I love the pump when it works!Even though I have owned 3 of them, I learned to hate it and buy myself a different non-solar brand after getting frustrated with:1- difficulty of taking removable parts apart to clean,2- parts cracking or breaking-up when putting parts back after cleaning,3- Plastic/composite motor shaft breaks up easily - should be made of stainless steel...

I have one of these pumps that's gone 2 years without cleaning and it continues to make a waterfall on a small garden pond. I always replace with these when one goes bad because they are trouble-free and work well with small 12 volt solar panels. I like to suspend them in the pond with a mesh bag to reduce particulate matter being pulled in by them. Cleaning them on the inside is not very possible so it is best to protect them externally. I highly recommend them.

Stopped working after just over a month 8hours a day Supposed to be guaranteed for 10,000 hours..that's why I bought it..

This is the second of these pumps I've purchased. The first one worked reliably for 2 years, then it failed and the plastic shaft broke. But while it lasted, it worked great and pumped more water than you'd assume for a pump this size. However, one continuing problem is that the internal filter gets clogged up and you have to remove the end cap to unclog it (and the end cap is difficult to get off of the pump). I was tempted to try a different pump when I replaced it, but I customized my filter setup for this specific pump. However, this time around I’m going to replace the plastic shaft with a stainless steel shaft and hopefully this pump will last a lot longer than 2 years.
