This will fit a standard size BIC lighter, however you will not be able to get it back out of the case once it's in. Pliers and channel locks failed to remove the lighter. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Bought to specifically store BIC lighter in my get home bag. I wanted to make sure there would be no fuel leakage in my bag and that other contents would not depress fuel lever. Lighter fits perfectly inside of case. Nice locking feature.

I bought a similar product a while ago. Although the idea was good, the button that opens the lid constantly kept getting pushed by accident with it in my pocket, making it all but worthless because it’s pretty far from waterproof with the lid open all the time. This version has a small ring that locks the lid closed so when the open button gets pushed by accident, it still stays closed. Works great.

I camp and hike year round, and have put mine to the test this summer and fall. It's been pretty durable - surviving drops on rocks, days in rain soaked packs, and an accidental drop into a pot of near boiling water.However, I didn't purchase this specifically because it's waterproof. To me, that's just a bonus. As most people should know, it's easy to revive a soaked Bic - shake and blow out the water, and vigorously roll it back and forth on your pant leg for 5-10 seconds to dry out the spark wheel.I got it to prevent fuel loss while rattling around in my pack. The cover prevents the fuel button from being accidentally pressed against other gear. The lanyard loop is handy too - a bit of Paracord will make sure it never gets lost, whether tied to a pot handle or my pack. For this, I can justify the weight and expense.Just note that this case will only fit Bic lighters without plastic decorative shrink-wraps because it's so tight.

Specifically mentioned that it fits a bic lighter, so it’s probably accurate. Our hardware store has a similar lighter that is refillable - much better than the bic. They are very similar in size and do fit into the case but it’s very tight to close it. If it was just a little bit bigger, would be nice. The case worked fine on a river trip but never tested it underwater.
