I initially had these speakers paired with my PC for Spotify listening and gaming mainly. They were plugged directly into the motherboard. I also used them with a laptop. They sounded good, but never blew me away. They were always good enough and loud enough but nothing special. Well, let me tell you how things changed dramatically when I paired these speakers with a 32-bit DAC and a Tidal subscription. They came to life. The amount of bass that comes out of them, without adjusting the knob at all, is crazy. It's full, rich, and warm. The full bodied sound and impact these speakers have now that they are paired with a high quality DAC and high bitrate songs can be breathtaking. Yes, I also paired them with an Edifier sub and just forget it. They're even more amazing. I can't stress enough how good these speakers sound for the money when you pair them with high quality audio files and a DAC. Yes, they are good with basic sound outputs, but they truly come to life when you pair them with higher quality hardware and music files. With a subwoofer, you will bring down the house. No joke. I can't imagine any other speaker set being as good as these for the money. I'm not a huge fan of the looks, as I would prefer all black, but the sound quality is worth it. If you're thinking about it, I say get them, but keep in mind that they truly won't come to life without at least a minimum Tidal subscription or other lossless audio streaming. If you can get a good DAC or already have one, then you're in for a treat.

These are my first set of quality speakers, and I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase. The sound clarity is incredible—I can distinctly hear all the different instruments in a song. It's like rediscovering my favorite tracks as I pick up new sounds I hadn't noticed before.

I purchased these speakers to use with my desktop computer. I chose the FX-Audio DAC-X6 DAC to process the digital sound from my PC to feed the Edifiers. These components were purchased after a good deal of research and the recommendations in various reviews. There are more expensive options, but I doubt I could tell the difference. I had an existing powered subwoofer, so I just bought a 3.5mm to RCA cable to plug from the Edifiers to the sub. The DAC is connected to the Edifiers with a high-quality RCA cable (although a standard one is included with the Edifiers). I used an optical cable to connect the DAC to the optical port on my computer's motherboard. The remote works well. No, this combination does not rival the highest quality audiophile systems. But, it is pretty darn good for a fairly inexpensive setup. Granted, I already had the subwoofer, but I think it sounds pretty good without it.My wife often listens to music and heard this system playing in my den. She immediately came in an asked how to use it. She marveled at how good it sounds. I am pleased with this purchase.

These are pretty awesome! I've been looking at Edifier products for a while now. This model was a surprise - addition of Bluetooth 5.0 and sub-out was only in higher models, but now it's in the budget models. The price was just right during Christmas holidays so I went for it.I like:- remote control to turn speakers on / off- light that shows which line the speaker is on- super seamless pairing for Bluetooth- switching between the incoming channels- great sound for a small room. The bass is not super deep, but enough to get play hip-hop (I might buy the woofer later)- design is great and materials are premium- on sale its an amazing deal!I don't like:- the speakers have specific side assigned (one is left and one is right). It would be nice if you could reverse the sides so you could place the speakers with the controls closer to you. Reversing the line-in cables works, but for Bluetooth it's still in the wrong order.- would be nice to have the optical line-in- these need sturdier / metal grills - my nephews will poke at these speakers within 5 seconds of seeing them. The grills are material based do the fingers will just go through them and will damage the speakers.- I would reverse the colors on the remote (black text on white background) or make them brighter so you could see the buttons better in the dark- skinnier connector cable between the two speakers?

UPDATE: MQA from Tidal, iFi Neo DAC with MQA support, expensive cables, including special USB audio cable, SVS SB-2000 Pro subwoofer, and it sounds crystal clear even at low volume settings, for all kinds of music. Unbelievable quality. But... even USB cable can make a difference, there is no "error correction & packet resending" for synchronous audio, you will get 10%-15% errors with typical $10 cables. Cables would cost more than these speakers :) even YouTube movies (in HD) sound differently, I hear very clear background sounds (birds, etc); I think I can hear better now :) (for my age, 15kHz is nice!)Here is log from Console:"A2DP configured at 44.1 KHz. Codec: SBC, Bitpool: 53 (327 kbps). 7 frames * 119 bytes = 833 per RTP (max=879) every 20.32 ms"Research shows that it is SBS, but best one: "bitpool: 53". I am listening "Master" recording from Tidal, and it outperforms my newest Enacfire E90 (which supports AAC).No any issues with sound quality: outstanding! Bluetooth is super responsive. But I also ordered " SVS SB-2000 PRO" ... just for fun.I was worried about this SBC... chipset is Qualcomm 3031, Aptx-HD. My iPhone doesn't support AptX. And rumours say AAC is even better. So, I don't have AAC. Just a rumours :) Try to research "bitpool: 53" and you will find it is "High Quality Joint-Stereo Mode, 328kbps". Do't trust to "HiRes" on other models: Aptx HD doesn't support that, CD-Quality is about 1440kbps.I am still researching. But I believe the company uses this Qualcomm chip by reasons and of course they tried to find the best option, including for iPhone 12 Max Pro. It outperforms my other Bluetooth devices with AAC (Bose SoundSPort, Sennheiser over-ear, etc).UPDATE: I use small DAC now which is even expensive than these speakers :) These speakers are not HiRes certified (and even uncertified they don't support digital input nor they have internal DAC). My small tiny DAC... costed me USD$200 on sale, plus taxes & fees. Apogee Groove. I instantly noticed sound is better than Bluetooth. And finally, stupid me, I opened MIDI Setup on MacBook Pro and set it to 192kHz, two-channel 24-bit, unbelievably clarity of vocals! I think my setup is cheaper and quality is better than 1000+ "certified HiRes" speakers, especially for MacBook: I use USB to output digital signal, and (thick&expensive) coaxial from DAC to speakers.I enjoy it... waiting for my sealed subwoofer; for music best is "sealed", for movies and hip-hop - ported.

Las bocinas llegaron súper rápido y están funcionando excelentemente. Confíen en comprar está versión con salida de subwoofer pero en realidad se escuchan demasiado bien por si solas
