Love the look, abilities, and ap. Hate the proprietary limitations. Can't put more than 4 in a chain. No extension cords to give extra space between. Fantastic plug and play options just very limited use because of the design.

I really like the MODERN smart lights! They are so nice as a "plug and play" option. Unfortunately, I have to return them because the information on this page is incorrect and the product is no longer of use to me.I have a large backyard where I cannot see the back of my property. I would need 3 or 4 boxes of these lights in order to cover my property. Upon reading this page, it seemed like it might be possible to use these lights but after purchasing and noticing that each light has a wattage of 8W, not 3W...and the entire wattage of the control box (transformer) is 24W, not 36W means I don't have enough power to do what I need these lights to do. I've posted a question to the page to see if there is a control box/transformer that can hook up, so I'll update if/when I get information in return. I have a feeling, after reading other reviews, that I might not hear anything back. We will see.The app works great, setup worked great, the distance between lights is perfect. All of the lights look good, scenes look and work nicely, cabling so easy to connect and power up and I had it all hooked up to Apple HomeKit (with addition of a Apple HomeKit compatible outdoor plug) which was awesome! It surprises me, in this day and age, that there's no option to extend beyond 1 box of lights.I am curious, though, if the 3W, 12W specs are specifically for the CLASSIC version of these lights?! If so, then the MODERN version should have its own page with corrected specs.Again, if I hear from anyone on how to extend and that method works, I'll update this review accordingly.

I am very disappointed and that is why: the set comes with one extension 3 pin cord, and when your lights are placed at the slightly longer distance to the power socket, you are stack with useless product. I contacted vendor asking to sell one more extension cord (~9 ft) but they said that they can’t provided one, nor provided me with the other source of such part.I am considering returning the unit, please be aware of such shortcoming of this product.

Just in time for Christmas. Makes your pathway look pretty awesome. Easy to install and uses very affordable
