My daughter loves this camera. She's recently gotten into Gabby's Dollhouse, so she finds it super cool that she can take pictures of everything she loves with Gabby filters on it. She has nature pics, selfies, pics of family, and pics of all her Gabby's Dollhouse toys and it's great being able to document all those things by herself.

Cute little camera for kids to try out photography. It’s a little flimsy but it is for kids and they seem to love it!

My 3.5 year old received this as a Christmas gift and honestly I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for this toy, it really could be better quality. You’re paying a premium for the Gabby face on the front and the built in digital character 'frames'. There’s no view finder so the child uses the small low quality screen on the back. The camera feels very light weight, made of cheap plastic, including plastic buttons. My child accidentally dropped this about a foot from our wood floors which resulted in a bunch of lines going across the image on the screen. Thankfully there is a “reset” button to clear it out, and it worked fine after that. And thankfully none of the plastic broke, but if it had fallen off a countertop or even worse outside the house, I’m sure it wouldn’t last long. The card and batteries are all located at the bottom which requires you to remove a screw to access the compartment. Good for keeping little hands out of there and possibly damaging the card. I would have paid extra if it didn’t take batteries and instead could have been rechargeable so just plan to buy a lot of batteries. Haven’t tested connecting this to the computer yet but will update my review once we’ve played around with it some more. Just from a durability standpoint, I would be hesitant giving this to a 3 year old, but then again I feel that the limitations of the camera itself is geared more towards younger children anyway. Make the plastic housing more robust and this could be a 4 or 5 star toy.

I got this for my daughter's upcoming birthday so, I haven't opened it quite yet. We purchased a similar, no brand, digital camera for her for Christmas last year and she loved it. I saw this and wanted to give her an upgrade, especially since she is having a Gabby birthday. We've purchased a few things from eKids before and everything is still in working order and great quality (over a year later). I like that it's very easy for kids to use and that they can add the fun Gabby frames. I also like that it doesn't need batteries. I can just plug in, charge up and it's ready to go. It's lightweight, easy to use/carry around, and not a big clunky camera. The silicone covering helps protect the camera from accidental drops and bumps. I'd definitely recommend.

Please keep in mind that even though it functions properly this is, in fact, a toy. My kids LOVE Gabby's dollhouse and were thrilled when I gave this to them. It's on the lighter and flimsier side especially viewing it as a camera, but it's pretty on par with how most kid's electronics feel. It's cute and it functions as a camera. They feel so grown being able to take it around and take pictures when they want instead of needing one of us to take them on our phones. I just wish it used rechargeable batteries instead of AA batteries. Overall though it's a decent toy camera for kids and miles ahead of the kid's cameras that were out when I was little.
