We have purchased dozens of these for a custom project at work. They have all worked flawlessly, and allow us to create our custom length of 18 inches.These have been of high quality, and have been working in the field for months without issue.

It's 40 pin ribbon cable. It works well for 40 pin connections. If you want to split the wires, they do have a clear coating that means these don't split nicely, so if you're looking for ribbon cable that you can tear apart to make your own 4 pin etc. cables, look elsewhere.

This is a good deal for some ribbon cable.Im using it for IDC connectors and its working well.
