This light appears to be everything it claims on first look. The light is bright enough for close up work such as top-down video for a cooking video or product unboxing videos, or even good quality product photos to market a product. The functions work correctly as far as brightness controls and color control, although the color didn't go from 2500K to 6500K on the one I received. I'd say it maxed out at 4800K, which is fine, but not as advertised. I despise false advertising. Minus one star here for the color range.Upon close inspection, it just doesn't live up to the quality I would expect at this price point. For the amount of cheap materials and lack of engineering quality going into this product, I'd expect it to come in at less than half of the current price point. Minus 2 more stars for the lack of quality and value.I don't mind a plastic frame, but there should be actual supports where the tripod mounts. The 1/4" brass screw holes are just a nut that has been sunk into the plastic; thin plastic at that. Just the slightest pressure or weight causes the plastic to bow away from the light and causes a separation that can easily turn into breaking clean off of the light. The same is true for the camera. Too much pressure applied to the holder can easily snap off the 1/4" mounting hole.I've attached photos showing the bowing of the plastic around the 1/4" holes, and also showing some of the lack of finish of the plastic in other areas. There are areas of the plastic between the black and white where the black wasn't finished properly, and it is sharp to the touch when holding it. One area is so pronounced you can see a sliver of the black plastic protruding quite far. This isn't scratched up from use. This is fresh from the box.The camera shutter button is not something I would ever actually use while mounted to the frame of the light, because it's just as easy to hit the shutter button on the camera if you can reach the light. Not having a dedicated on/off switch on the camera shutter is a major drawback, as you have to press the button for nearly 5 seconds to get it to turn off, and during that time it is either raising the volume on your phone or taking photos or video. Not cool. You have to turn off your phone's Bluetooth before turning this off to avoid the issue. The edges on the camera shutter are sharp and the protrusions from the bottom of the shutter button which are meant to hold it into the slot on the light make it very uncomfortable to hold and use. I have other shutter buttons, and I will likely throw this one in the trash or give it away. It's just not that great to make me want to use it.The cold shoes are all on the same side and, for me, unless you're using a narrow mic mount in the center, you'll only be able to use the 2 outside shoes or the center. The plastic the cold shoe is molded from is very thin and a very brittle plastic. Use caution not to exert too much pressure as these could likely snap easily. Don't use anything too heavy with this light, as it can't handle the weight. From the pictures of using a phone in this light, you'd think you could place a mini tablet in there. From what I've seen, when I put my phone in it I get just under an inch on all sides of the phone when using an ultra slim case. Upon re-examining the product photos, it looks like they used a 4 inch screen phone in the pictures or, more likely, faked the photos by editing in the phone to make the light look bigger than it actually is. This is a deceptive practice that far too many sellers and manufacturers use to sell their products. It's why I never pay attention to the photos except for the most general idea of what it looks like and I always go to the product description to get actual dimensions. The size isn't an issue, it provides plenty of light. I'm just disappointed that they feel they have to be deceptive in how they present the photos.I only gave this 2 stars because of the quality of materials and build quality. For that, it should have been a less expensive model. It's good enough to use, but I have seen better built ones much cheaper. I have seen 14" ring lights that come with the camera mount and a tripod for less and provide pretty much the same functionality. Are they any good? I don't know, I haven't bought it. My point is, I'm disappointed in the quality at this price point. I just don't see the value on a product I am going to have to be super careful of to prevent breakage.

This is a light for your phone if you want to use it to stream yourself. It has attachments for your phone in the middle. I tried an iPhone and a galaxy. They both worked. It seemed secureThe light was bright enough to make to light me up but not enough to be overpowering. .

This kit worked right out-of-the-box to give even lighting on close-up smartphone videos. There's a clamp to insert your smartphone, and a couple of slide-oput feet to prob it up. This works great to hold the camera on a shelf up against a wall or on a countertop. You probably want a tripod or other method of clamping down the whole rig if you don't have a flat steady surface. One dial controls the brightness, the other controls light color. The colors are a bit flat, but that's no different from most inexpensive LED light rings. Turn it on, push record, and go to town. Rechargeable batteries included. Happy customer.

I like this additional lighting for mobile phones. The mobile phone holder is easilyattached in the middle of the light. It can be set to face either direction to take a selfie or a picture of an object or person. The light assembly can be mounted on a tripod on either of the long or short side by the standard mounting thread. On the side is a USB-C charging port and a USPA port that can be used for charging. There is a toggle on off switch and a power light indicator for charge remaining. There are two dials. One is for controlling the lighting temperature and the other one is for ontrolling the brightness. On the opposite side of the light, sits a Bluetooth controller for remote shutter activation. It can be used while installed and activated with your thumb while holding the light assembly. It can also be detached and used remotely if needed. The remote shutter does not have an on and off switch, but it is paired easily to the phone. I was unable to disconnect it from the phone so I have to forget the device each time. It is probably better this way Because the name of the device would be hard to remember.- XengYu.I like that the shape of the light surrounds the phone so the lighting effect would not be like a spotlight rather a more ambient feel. This makes it good for taking selfies and pictures of items I do for review.
