It's a balaclava, it fits well, it is comfortable, it's a good price and it keeps my head warm.Job done and happy customer.It is one of those things though where you would have more to say if something was wrong with it, but as there isn't I have to give it 5 stars for ticking all the boxes.

This isn't as thick as I imagined it would be, but I guess it doesn't need to beEasy to put on and take off and washkept me warm at the farm - use with other layers. I used with a hooded fleece jacket

I am a sailor who likes to sail long distances (e.g. 1200nm+) offshore in the ocean. Because I sail in cold water areas (e.g. Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Maine, Northern California), I need to wear warm clothing outside while on deck on the boat. I bought this Balaclava and have been favorably impressed by it. It has a very soft inner side (soft fleece) and a smooth exterior. The hi-vis yellow/lime color is truly high visibility, something I consider important in case one is a MOB (Man Over Board). The fleece is warm, but not too thick as some are. I would call it a "mid weight" fleece. It may be suitable to wear under a hard hat. In extreme cold weather I would probably put another "watch cap" over the top for added warmth. The length is good for neck protection from cold, especially in the front. The top dark stripes you see going over the top of the item is reflective piping, and it really does reflect light well when you put a spotlight on it. My only complaint is that the Balaclava is "one size" and is relatively small for my extra large size head. This made it very uncomfortable to wear when I first purchased it. It was very tight on my head/skull. I solved this by stretching the Balaclava by putting several rolled up bath towels inside it, allowing it to stretch to a larger shape. This may work for you too, if you have a extra large head. If you have a large or smaller head, this will probably fit easily. I like this item so much that I gave one to each of my crew when we sailed to Newfoundland. It will go in my seabag on future trips to cold water or cold weather areas.
