The valve water outlet is 5/16" not 1/4" as stated in the product description. I think that 5/16" is likely the correct size for the part number it is meant to replace so this description error is probably not a problem for most purchasers. The valve appears to be of good quality and works fine, I expect it is a good choice when used as a direct replacement part. I have attached a photo of the label on the ERP W10394076 valve I received so you can see the manufacturer's part numbers.The valve water outlet size difference was a problem for me because I used this valve to replace a 2182104 (now 2315576) valve which has a 1/4" water outlet. Also, the new valve's mounting bracket angle is different, but the holes are the same spacing and it fits well enough that the difference wasn't a problem (for my fridge anyway). The water inlet and electrical connection are identical on both valves. I was able to make the new valve work for me by buying a 5/16" to 1/4" adapter and some 5/16" water line, and then using a short piece of the 5/16" line between the new valve's water outlet and the adapter. Then I discovered that the new valve also has a much higher flow rate than the original, enough higher that the icemaker fill adjustment couldn't deal with it and water would overflow the icemaker into the ice tray every cycle. I corrected this by closing the shutoff valve for the icemaker water line until it was only about 1/8 of a turn open. Although it wasn't really necessary, because my icemaker shutoff is in the basement, I inserted a 1/4" manual valve (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07GDFWB8R because I like its small handle and locking nut) in the water line between the electric valve and the icemaker so I could adjust the water flow rate at the back of the fridge.It turns out that, although it can be done, using this 10394076 valve to replace a 2315576 valve is not a particularly good idea as the extra parts required to make it work add complication and expense. Also, the valve mounting bracket angle is not identical which might be an issue in some cases.

This part worked great for my refrigerator. It saved me a lot of money not having to get some overpriced service guy to come over and do an easy task.

I just went to YouTube to install.. Had to replace it.. I had to move the refrigerator because we were doing kitchen remodeling.. And I think it twicked the bottom hose slow leak.. So far so good.. Can't beat the pri¢e🤞.. If not saved the old piece just incase, plumbers tape might help around the hose?.. But everything working and no leaks 🤐
