I use reamers quite often in my shop. They're great if you need to install a dowel pin or for whenever you need a precise, very round hole. Most of my reamers are the standard HSS type, which work very well but can become dull over time, especially when reaming harder materials. This carbide reamer comes in a nice plastic tube to protect it from damage and dust. The cutting edges are sharp to the touch. It has the look and feel of a quality tool right out of the box. I made a few test cuts in some 6061 aluminum to check dimensional accuracy. After drilling with a #25 drill bit (slighly under 4mm) I reamed a few holes about 12mm deep. The reamer cut nicely and my test holes were right on size. A 4mm dowel pin (H8 tolerance) fit nice and snug with just finger pressure. My H8 pins are actually about 20 microns under 4mm, so I think the fit was just right. Overall this looks like a great quality tool that should last a very long time.

Decent quality reamer, got the job done on some plastic parts and seems the same as every other generic import reamer I have used.

I recently acquired this 4mm chucking reamer for precision metalworking tasks. The tool appears to be well-made and aligns with the product specifications. The tungsten carbide construction and straight flute design suggest it will perform effectively for reaming stainless steel, alloy, and copper metals. At this stage, I have no concerns or notable praises; it seems to be a solid addition to my toolkit.

I am going to be the oddball here and talk about using a metal reamer in wood. As a hobby wood turner, I needed to ream some holes in an instrument I am making using Katalox, which is an incredibly dense wood. I had broken several drill bits and one of my wood reamers trying this when someone suggested trying a reamer for mild steel. I found this one which was just about the perfect size for the project, which consisted of reaming 8 positions. This made nice clean work of it, had no chattering and really impressed me. With this I will certainly be able to do some nicer projects using those woods typically to dense for some projects.

It's a reamer and it works! size is spot on at 3mm. It feels well made and I haven't worried about any of the flutes snapping or chipping. Good reamer.
