Let’s be honest, the Adhesive Tailgate Seal isn’t winning any beauty contests or thrilling anyone at a car show. But does it stick to your tailgate, seal it up tight, and quietly do its job like an overachieving hall monitor? Absolutely.Clean the Tailgate Area:Before you do anything, grab some isopropyl alcohol or a degreaser and clean the edge of the tailgate where the seal will go. Make sure it’s free of dirt, dust, and grease. A clean surface is key to making the adhesive stick like a champ. Let it dry completely.Measure and Cut the Seal:Lay the tailgate seal along the edge where you want it to sit (usually the perimeter of the bed where the tailgate meets the truck). Use scissors to cut it to the right length. It's 24.5 feet long, so there’s plenty to work with.Peel and Stick:Start peeling the adhesive backing a little at a time, pressing the seal firmly into place as you go. Don’t rush—working slowly helps avoid crooked lines. Press down along the entire length to ensure a snug fit.Seal the Deal:After it’s all applied, go over it with your fingers, pressing firmly to make sure the adhesive is set then close your tailgate. No more dust, water, or rogue bits of gravel sneaking into my truck bed. It's not flashy, but it's the kind of boring reliability you’ll thank yourself for when your cargo stays clean and dry.So yeah, it’s not exciting, but it doesn’t need to be. If you’re looking for a thrill, go buy a turbocharger. If you’re looking to keep your truck bed sealed and your stuff dry, this tailgate seal does the job.

Used this as the seal for the entire camper shell. It worked very well. When installing, I set the shell on, lifted it up slightly and put the seal in, then put the shell back down. It was the only way I found to keep the seal from not seating properly. This is the first shell I installed and doing it with a couple friends made it easier but not overly easy. I'm sure there are easier ways but this worked. No leaks with this seal at all.
