Review of "BOEN 1/2" Drive Wheel Protector Impact Socket, Non-Marring Lug Nut Thin Wall Deep Socket Set, CR-MO, 6 Point"ASIN: B0CD157Z1CI have mag wheels on my vehicle and was always frustrated when removing the lug nuts with my impact wrench, as it would scratch the paint inside the wheels. I figured there had to be specially made sockets to prevent this—turns out, there are!I primarily use the 19mm socket since both my vehicles require that size, and it works perfectly. It fits snugly and provides excellent protection for my rims. However, if your rims are dirty, you might still get some damage since the dirt could grind into the paint on contact.A couple of small improvements could make this set even better:I wish the sizes were laser-etched instead of printed to improve long-term readability.I can’t personally test all the sizes, but the overall build quality feels solid.For $50 (at the time of review), this set is a great value—some individual sockets cost more than this entire set! Highly recommended.

These drive wheel protector impact sockets work well and are of good durable quality. The thin wall and plastic sleeve design work to protect your wheels while allowing you to fit into tighter spaces. Each socket is also colour-coded to help easily identify sizes.Although these come in a foam insert, there is no storage case.

The sockets are brightly coloured making them easily distinguishable between sizes. So far they have been great using them with hand tools. They grip, do not slip, and have shown no signs of damage (although they have only been used a handful of times).They come in a foam backing container with a carbon fiber look but sadly no sort of case to hold everything.

This is a nice impact socket set. The 7 piece set covers all my needs. They feel well constructed and are finished nice. The sockets have a sleeve on them to protect the vehicle from damage and scratches. They have fairly thin walls and are deep sockets so will accommodate most jobs just fine. They are laser etched so you can easily see the sizes but even better, they are color coded so you can tell what you need at a glance once you get used to them. They worked great on my torque wrench to tighten down my wheels. It's a nice set to have.
